  • The Public labour market negotiates on the basis of Act nr. 94/1986 on public employee collective agreement.
  • The General labour market negotiates on the basis of Act nr. 80/1938 on trade unions and labor disputes.
  • Act on employee´s remuneration and compulsory pension insurance (Remuneration Act) nr. 55/1980  include Collective Wage Agreements are minimum terms, cf. article 1 of the Act.
  • Act nr. 70/1996 on rights and obligations for employers of the Government.
  • Agreement on rights and obligations for employers of the City of Reykjavik.
